At least 20 Palestinians were killed overnight and into Thursday morning in a series of Israeli airstrikes and gunfire across various areas of the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Among the victims were five individuals reportedly waiting for humanitarian aid. Four others, including two young girls, were killed when an Israeli strike targeted an apartment in the Al-Salhi Tower, west of the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
The latest fatalities bring the total death toll from the ongoing Israeli offensive—launched on October 7, 2023—to 61,158, with more than 151,442 others injured, according to official Palestinian health authorities.
