Twenty-two migrants died off the coast of Greece after being stranded in an inflatable boat that departed from Tobruk, where they remained at sea for six days without food or water.

Rescue teams managed to save 26 people, some of whom were transferred to a hospital on the island of Crete, while two suspected smugglers were arrested.
