White House Confirms Trump to Attend NATO Summit in The Hague on June 24–25, Sends Nuclear Proposal to Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump will attend the upcoming NATO summit scheduled for June 24–25 in The Hague, the White House announced on Tuesday, as the administration renews its push for increased defense spending among alliance members.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed Trump’s participation, noting that he will reiterate his long-standing demand for all NATO members to significantly raise their military expenditures.

Leavitt also revealed that Steve Witkoff, the U.S. special envoy for Iran, has delivered a detailed proposal to Tehran aimed at reaching a new agreement on the country’s nuclear program. No further details were provided on the terms of the proposal or Iran’s response.

The announcements reflect the Trump administration’s dual-track approach of reinforcing strategic alliances while pursuing renewed diplomatic engagement on critical security issues, particularly in the Middle East.
