The Israeli occupation army intercepted the “Madeleine” ship, part of the Freedom Flotilla, as it was heading to Gaza, using drones and spraying an irritant substance on board, which led to a disruption in communications.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed the safe arrival of the ship to its shores, with the process of returning the passengers to their countries beginning.

The ship had sailed from Sicily to break the blockade on Gaza and carried activists from several countries, including Swedish activist Greta Thunberg.
