The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned what it described as a “dangerous Israeli plan” to seize control of the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron, located in the occupied West Bank, calling the move a blatant violation of international law and UN resolutions.
In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that attempts to Judaize the Ibrahimi Mosque and alter its historical and religious identity represent a serious escalation that undermines peace efforts and provokes the sentiments of Muslims worldwide.
The UAE called on the international community to take urgent action to stop such violations and protect religious sites in the occupied Palestinian territories.
