A high-level ministerial conference aimed at advancing the implementation of the two-state solution for Israel and Palestine began on Monday evening at the United Nations headquarters in New York, under joint leadership from Saudi Arabia and France.

The three-day event, broadcast by Saudi state channel Al Ekhbariya, is convened against the backdrop of Israel’s ongoing military offensive in Gaza and a worsening humanitarian crisis marked by widespread hunger across the besieged territory.

Foreign ministers and deputy foreign ministers from numerous countries are attending the conference.

The gathering takes place as the U.S., Egypt, Qatar, and others intensify mediation efforts to reach a lasting ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
