The death toll from the derailment of a passenger train west of El-Dabaa in Matrouh governorate rose to three, with 54 others injured, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Health.

The accident occurred at kilometer 203 between Fouka and Jalal stations after the train collided with a loader, causing seven carriages to derail and two to overturn.

The wounded were transported to El-Dabaa and Ras El-Hekma hospitals, while railway authorities dispatched technical teams to restore operations.
