Preliminary results from Jamaica’s parliamentary elections show Prime Minister Andrew Holness has won a third term in office.

Holness’s ruling Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) has secured at least 34 seats in the 63-seat parliament.

Its main rival, the People’s National Party (PNP), won 29 seats, giving Holness a comfortable majority to continue leading the country.
