Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has strongly condemned the Israeli shelling that targeted UN peacekeeping forces (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon, describing the attack as “deliberate and premeditated.”

Aoun stressed that the Israeli occupation is launching daily attacks on southern villages, calling the latest targeting of the international force the “most dangerous” since the cessation of hostilities agreement.

He called for international action to compel Israel to halt its repeated violations.
