French President Emmanuel Macron reappointed Sébastien Lecornu as Prime Minister on Friday evening, just days after his resignation, in a surprise move that ended several days of intense consultations.
The decision followed meetings with political party leaders aimed at breaking the deadlock in parliament, where no bloc holds a majority.
Macron faces mounting pressure from both left- and right-wing opposition groups, as his government seeks to maintain political stability ahead of the upcoming European elections.
