The European Commission announced on Thursday the allocation of €2.3 billion (approximately $2.7 billion) to aid in the reconstruction of Ukraine amid ongoing war-related devastation.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated during a press conference in Rome that the support package includes €1.8 billion in loan guarantees and €580 million in grants provided through international and bilateral public financial institutions.
Von der Leyen emphasized that the funding is part of a broader international commitment to rebuild Ukraine’s infrastructure, support its economy, and assist communities affected by the conflict.

The announcement came during a high-level conference on Ukraine’s reconstruction, aimed at mobilizing international resources and ensuring a coordinated response to both urgent and long-term recovery needs.
