Russia and Syria are maintaining regular communication across multiple levels of government, with discussions now extending to cooperation in the oil and gas sector, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.
Speaking at a press briefing, Zakharova noted that bilateral contacts have become “more intensive” in recent months, involving various ministries and official agencies from both countries.
She added that the current agenda includes talks on economic and technical cooperation, as well as expanding collaboration in energy fields, including oil and natural gas, through established institutional channels.
