New Parliamentary Elections in Kosovo Amid Low Voter Turnout

Parliamentary elections are taking place smoothly in Kosovo on Sunday, with more than two million voters called to elect 120 members of parliament, marking the country’s second election in 2025.

The vote comes after February’s election failed to produce a government, leaving a caretaker administration in place for nearly ten months.

Kosovo’s Central Election Commission announced that voter turnout stood at 8.27 percent as of 11:00 a.m., a figure similar to that recorded at the same time during the previous elections, amid expectations that the results could end the ongoing political deadlock.
