Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi affirmed his country’s readiness to strengthen relations with Iraq across various sectors during a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Fouad Hussein.

Araqchi said the delegation shared clarifications on recent developments inside Iran, stressing a “shared understanding” regarding security issues.

Hussein called for accelerating the formation of Iraq’s next government to enable it to address regional challenges effectively.

Both sides praised Iraq’s role in fostering dialogue among countries in the region.
