More than 4,000 flights have been canceled across the United States as powerful winter storms approach, already cutting electricity to over 230,000 people from the western states to Texas.
Meteorologists forecast heavy snowfall and freezing rain across two-thirds of the eastern U.S. in the coming days.
President Donald Trump described the storms as “historic,” declaring states of emergency in several states in anticipation of widespread impacts on infrastructure and daily life.
