Gaza Civil Defence Says Five Killed in Israeli Airstrikes

At least five people were killed early on Friday in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, Gaza’s civil defence authority said.

It said three people were killed in a strike on the Al-Maslakh area southwest of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, while at least two others were killed and another seriously wounded in a strike on northern Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that three Palestinians were killed on Thursday in separate Israeli strikes.

According to WAFA, Israeli aircraft targeted a group of people near Al-Mahatta park in the Al-Tuffah neighbourhood northeast of Gaza City, killing two and wounding others.

The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the reported strikes.
