Explosions Rock Qatar, Bahrain, UAE and Kuwait as Iran Escalates Gulf Strikes

Powerful explosions were heard on Monday in Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait as Iran continued targeting neighboring Gulf states in response to U.S.-Israeli attacks against it.

Agence France-Presse correspondents reported blasts in Doha, Manama, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait City.

Qatar said it had intercepted Iranian attacks targeting civilian infrastructure, including the international airport.

“These attacks cannot go unanswered,” Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari told CNN, adding that Qatar is not currently in contact with Iran.

Bahrain’s interior ministry said in a statement that the Iranian strikes resulted in one fatality.

There was no immediate comment from Iranian authorities regarding the reported strikes or casualties.
