Iran’s official IRNA news agency said on Thursday that the death toll from U.S. and Israeli attacks since Saturday had risen to 1,230.

A previous toll released on Wednesday had put the number of those killed at 1,045, including civilians and military personnel.

IRNA cited a statement from Iran’s Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs as saying that “the number of martyrs from the aggressive military attack has reached 1,230 as of March 5.”

The figures could not be independently verified.
