UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that Britain will host an international meeting involving more than 30 countries to discuss ways to secure navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The meeting takes place amid escalating regional tensions, as international bodies have agreed to form a task force to address the consequences of the ongoing war.
A military meeting is expected to follow to discuss mechanisms for enhancing maritime security and ensuring the continued flow of shipping through the vital waterway.
