A tragic road accident occurred on Wednesday on Cairo’s Ring Road after a chain collision involving dozens of vehicles near the Al-Salam Tunnel in eastern Cairo, leaving 19 people dead or injured.

Security forces and ambulances rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the crash to provide assistance and transport the injured.

Initial reports indicate that the incident was caused by a series of collisions involving multiple vehicles, resulting in immediate fatalities at the scene and several injuries of varying severity.

The injured were transferred to nearby hospitals for treatment, while the bodies of the victims were taken to the morgue under the supervision of investigative authorities, which have launched a probe into the circumstances of the accident.
