British sprinter Amy Hunt made European athletics history after becoming the first athlete to win four gold medals at a single edition of the European Championships, which concluded Sunday in Birmingham.
Hunt won gold in the mixed 4×100-meter relay, adding it to her titles in the 100 and 200 meters and the women’s 4×100-meter relay.
The 24-year-old competed in seven races over seven days and won all of them. Great Britain clocked 39.97 seconds in the mixed relay, setting a European record.
