Deadly clashes between extremist factions in northeast Nigeria leave 200 dead

About 200 people were killed in fierce battles between Boko Haram and ISIS in West Africa, which erupted Sunday in the Dogon Chiku area near Lake Chad, according to field sources.

Local militias opposed to the extremists said the clashes were among the fiercest in months, while Nigerian forces continue to monitor the area in anticipation of renewed fighting between the two factions.
