The International Astronomy Center announced on Sunday the date of the first day of Eid al-Adha for the year 2025, clarifying the possibility of sighting the crescent of Dhul-Hijjah in various parts of the world.
The center stated in a press release that Wednesday, May 28, will mark the beginning of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, while Friday, June 6, will be the first day of Eid al-Adha in most Islamic countries.
It noted that the countries of the Islamic world will look for the crescent of Dhul-Hijjah on Tuesday, May 27, with the possibility of seeing it using telescopes from Central and Western Asia, most of Africa, and Europe, and with the naked eye from large parts of the Americas.
