Iranian state television reported that an explosion was heard in the southwestern city of Abadan, although no official explanation was immediately provided.

In a related development, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi acknowledged that a security breach had facilitated U.S. and Israeli strikes targeting senior Iranian figures at the beginning of the war, adding that the breach may still be ongoing.

Iran’s Ministry of Health also announced that more than 50 people had been killed and over 517 others injured in U.S. attacks since June 27.
