Israeli police said Friday that two Israelis were wounded in a stabbing attack at a hotel in Jerusalem, with one reported in serious condition.

According to Israel’s Channel 12, police arrested the assailant and deployed large reinforcements to the scene, Palestinian news outlet Quds News Network reported.

Israel’s public broadcaster confirmed the injuries and identified the suspect as an Arab resident of Shuafat, a neighborhood in northeast Jerusalem.

The incident comes amid rising tensions across Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank.
