Kremlin Accuses Washington of “Strangling” Cuba’s Economy

The Kremlin accused the United States of attempting to “strangle” Cuba’s economy, warning of a dire situation on the island as the fuel crisis deepens.

Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow is in close contact with Havana and is exploring ways to provide support, responding to concerns over jet fuel shortages and their impact on Russian tourism.

Russia confirmed it will continue supplying oil to Cuba as it has in recent years.
