Lebanon’s Health Ministry announced that 31 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting Beirut’s southern suburbs and other areas, following an announcement by Hezbollah that it had launched rockets and drones toward the occupied Palestinian territories.

Explosions were heard across the capital overnight, causing damage to buildings and prompting residents to flee.

The Israeli army said it had targeted Hezbollah positions, while projectiles landed in open areas in the northern occupied Palestinian territories.
