French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday criticized Israeli plans to intensify military operations in Gaza, describing them as an “unprecedented disaster” and a step toward a “never-ending war.”

Macron proposed forming an international alliance authorized by the United Nations to stabilize Gaza, calling on Israel to implement an immediate and permanent ceasefire.

He warned that Israeli hostages and Gaza residents would be the first victims of this strategy.
