Morocco to Face South Korea in U-20 World Cup Round of 16 After Topping Group C

Morocco is set to meet South Korea on Friday in the Round of 16 of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, having finished atop Group C with six points.

The Atlas Lions secured early qualification with two notable victories: a 2-0 win over Spain and a 2-1 victory against Brazil, before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Mexico in their final group match via a penalty. Despite the loss, Morocco maintained first place in the group, ahead of Mexico with five points, Spain in third with four, and Brazil at the bottom with one point.

Other Arab teams, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, were eliminated in the group stage, leaving Morocco as the sole Arab representative in the knockout rounds.
