Netanyahu Requests Presidential Pardon in Corruption Cases… Gantz and Lapid Attack the Move

Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation Benjamin Netanyahu submitted an official request to President Isaac Herzog seeking a presidential pardon amid his ongoing trial in three corruption cases.

The presidency of the Israeli occupation described the request as “exceptional” and of significant implications.

Benny Gantz criticized the move, calling it “deceptive” and aimed at distracting the public from the conscription exemption law.

Yair Lapid said granting the pardon is impossible without Netanyahu admitting guilt and retiring from political life.

The request came following a letter from U.S. President Donald Trump urging Herzog to consider granting the pardon.
