Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the release of three Egyptian citizens kidnapped in Mali in early November, in coordination with authorities in Bamako.
The ministry affirmed its continuous follow-up of Egyptian citizens abroad and the support offered to them.
It urged Egyptians residing in Mali to comply with local authorities’ instructions, carry identification documents, and avoid travel outside the capital amid complex security conditions.
The operation comes as foreign nationals continue to face heightened security risks in several regions of Mali.
