Malian authorities, backed by Russia’s Africa Corps, dispatched military reinforcements from Gao toward the Anfif base in northeastern Mali in an effort to resupply joint forces under siege.
The convoy reportedly includes around 60 military vehicles carrying troops, weapons, and fuel, supported by drones and attack helicopters.
The deployment follows an unsuccessful attempt earlier in July, amid expectations of clashes with the Azawad Liberation Front and the Jama’at Nasr al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM).
