Resilience Convoy Halts Advance Toward Rafah Crossing, Continues Sit-In West of Sirte

The Joint Action Coordination for Palestine announced Monday that it has halted the advance of the “Resilience Convoy” toward the Rafah border crossing after being blocked from passing through Sirte by General Command forces.

Wael Nawar, the convoy’s spokesperson, said the decision followed the General Command’s firm refusal to allow eastward movement. He confirmed that the protesters will maintain their sit-in at Buairat Al-Hassoun, west of Sirte, until 15 detained members are released.

Nawar described the arrests as arbitrary and demanded the immediate release of all detainees. He stressed the convoy’s continued commitment to its solidarity mission aimed at breaking the blockade on the Gaza Strip.
