The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has appointed Greek coach Georgios Donis as head coach of the national team on a contract running until July 2027, replacing Hervé Renard.

The federation said the move comes after reaching a mutual agreement to terminate Renard’s contract.

Donis brings extensive experience, having coached AEK Athens and PAOK, as well as several Saudi clubs including Al Hilal, Al Wehda, Al Fateh, and most recently Al Khaleej.

He has secured multiple titles throughout his career, including league and cup victories in Cyprus and domestic trophies in Saudi Arabia.
