Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations during the latter’s visit to Algeria.

The visit came after diplomatic relations between the two countries resumed and the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation was reactivated following the resolution of the crisis that began in 2022 over Madrid’s position on the Western Sahara issue.

The talks also addressed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
