U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he is preparing to make a “final decision” regarding a potential agreement with Iran, revealing on the Truth Social platform that steps had begun to ease maritime restrictions and allow stranded vessels to resume operations.
Trump stated that, in return, Iran must immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz to international navigation without transit fees, clear maritime mines from the waterway, and fully commit to not acquiring nuclear weapons.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei expressed diplomatic caution, emphasizing that no final or official agreement has yet been reached with Washington, as the international community closely monitors the outcome of the ongoing negotiations.
