Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to accept a ceasefire and sign a peace agreement “under certain conditions.”

Fidan told a German newspaper that the Ukrainian side has been informed of this position and that Turkey is involved in some aspects of the negotiation track.

He also commented on President Macron’s statements about the possible deployment of Western troops to Ukraine, noting the difference between NATO forces and international units not affiliated with the alliance, and stressing the need to avoid further escalation.
