U.S. Issues Travel Warning for Syria

The U.S. State Department issued a new travel advisory on Thursday, urging American citizens to avoid all travel to Syria due to “extremely high security risks,” including threats of terrorism, kidnapping, and armed conflict.

The statement emphasized that the situation in Syria remains dangerous and unpredictable, and that the U.S. government is unable to provide consular services or protection to its citizens within Syrian territory.

Americans currently in Syria were advised to leave immediately, as travel to the country is considered a serious risk to personal safety.
