UNICEF reported the deaths of 37 Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the year, in addition to child casualties in the West Bank.

At least 20 children were also killed in Sudan during January, as the organization warned of worsening famine and urgent humanitarian needs in conflict zones.
