The Israeli military announced that it had carried out coordinated operations across approximately 40 villages and 400 locations in the occupied West Bank over the weekend.
The military said it had arrested around 40 people, including individuals it alleged were affiliated with Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
Meanwhile, Hebron Municipality reported that Israeli forces had forced approximately 1,500 Palestinians from 250 families to leave the Deir Bahha and Al-Jalda areas since Friday.
The municipality warned that another 2,500 Palestinians could face displacement in the coming hours as military operations continue.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously announced preparations for a major military operation involving house raids and the displacement of Palestinians from their neighborhoods.
