Eleven people were killed after a civilian aircraft carrying a group of skydivers crashed in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in eastern France.
Authorities said the aircraft took off from Nancy-Essey Airport with a pilot and ten skydivers on board before crashing for reasons that remain unknown.
All occupants were killed in the accident. French authorities announced that the Interior Minister will travel to the crash site to oversee the investigation and assess the circumstances surrounding the incident.
