French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Greenland on June 15, where he is scheduled to hold talks with Greenland’s Prime Minister Jens Frederik Nielsen and Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, the Élysée Palace announced in a statement on Saturday.

According to the statement, the discussions will focus on key areas of cooperation, including climate change, environmental protection, Arctic policy, and strengthening bilateral relations between France, Denmark, and Greenland.

The visit marks the first by a French president to the Danish autonomous territory and underscores France’s growing interest in the strategic and environmental significance of the Arctic region.
