The fourth edition of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo opened on Thursday in Changsha, central China, with strong participation reflecting China’s continued commitment to strengthening ties with the African continent.
Held under the theme “China and Africa: Together for Modernization,” the four-day event brings together approximately 4,700 companies from both sides, along with more than 30,000 participants, including government officials and business representatives.
According to the organizers, preliminary agreements have been reached on cooperation projects worth over USD 11 billion, underscoring the growing momentum in economic relations between China and Africa—home to the world’s largest grouping of developing countries.
