Iran Emphasizes IAEA Inspectors’ Return Does Not Constitute Full Cooperation

Iran on Wednesday underscored that the arrival of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors on its soil does not signify a full resumption of cooperation with the agency. The announcement follows IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi’s statement confirming that a team of inspectors had entered the country for the first time since the end of hostilities with Israel.

Tehran had suspended its formal cooperation with the IAEA last month, while Grossi described the inspectors’ return as a preliminary step following the suspension.

This development comes amid mounting tensions between Iran and Western powers over the country’s nuclear program and ongoing restrictions on international inspection activities.
