The city of Kunming, in southwest China’s Yunnan Province, hosted the 2025 Global South Media and Research Forum, bringing together around 500 participants, including journalists, scholars, government officials, and entrepreneurs from 110 countries and international organizations.

The forum featured a series of events aimed at strengthening ties and building bridges of cooperation, while promoting values of solidarity and mutual respect.

Participants also highlighted the importance of reshaping the international landscape through a more inclusive perspective, stressing that the Global South should not remain a passive recipient but rather become an active partner in crafting solutions and shaping the future.
