Moroccan Football Federation president Fouzi Lekjaa met his Portuguese counterpart Pedro Proença in Rabat on Thursday to discuss preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which the two countries will co-host with Spain.
In a statement, Morocco’s football federation said the talks focused on key issues related to the organization of the tournament. The Portuguese delegation also toured Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium and the Mohammed VI Football Complex.
Morocco has launched several major infrastructure projects as part of its preparations to host both the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup.
