Russia carried out an overnight assault on Ukraine using hundreds of drones and more than 40 missiles, killing four people and wounding dozens, according to Kyiv authorities.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said the strikes targeted military sites and industrial complexes, while Ukrainian images showed destroyed residential buildings.

The 12-hour attack was described as one of the most intense since the war began.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the arrival of Patriot missile systems to strengthen air defenses.
