The Israeli army began a gradual withdrawal from parts of the Gaza Strip on Friday, with the pullout expected to be completed within 24 hours as part of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in the enclave, according to Israeli media reports.

Channel 12 reported that “over the next 24 hours, Israeli forces will complete their withdrawal from certain areas inside Gaza to the designated ‘yellow line,’ in accordance with the terms agreed upon in Trump’s plan between Israel and Hamas.”

Early Friday, the Israeli government approved the ceasefire and prisoner-exchange deal with Palestinian factions, marking the official start of the truce’s implementation.
