At least 25 people were killed when a bus caught fire following a collision with a motorcycle in southern India early Friday, police said.
The incident occurred on the outskirts of Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. The bus, carrying 44 passengers, was on an overnight journey between Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
Local police official Vikrant Patel stated, “The identities of 11 bodies have been confirmed, while 9 others are yet to be identified. Some of the bodies were severely charred,” according to the German news agency DPA.
