Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya said the movement is ready to hand over Gaza’s administration to a national committee and does not oppose a UN-supervised force to monitor the ceasefire.
He added that the group’s weapons are “tied to the existence of the Israeli occupation” and would be handed over once a Palestinian state is established.
Fatah, however, rejected any foreign administration of Gaza, stressing that the Palestine Liberation Organization remains the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.
